All Services are provided for educational and informational purposes only. We do not offer financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and nothing in our materials, website, or communications should be interpreted as such.
3. Client Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on information obtained through our Services.
You agree to:
• Use our materials only for lawful purposes
• Ensure that you understand and manage your own digital assets responsibly
• Maintain appropriate backups and security for your Bitcoin wallets and private keys
• Seek independent professional advice (financial, tax, or legal) before making any investment or residency decisions
4. Payments and Fees
Fees for Services are determined on a case-by-case basis. MBC may charge hourly rates or fixed-price packages, depending on the scope of work.
We accept payment in both Bitcoin and fiat currency (GBP or other currencies as agreed).
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
• Fees are payable in advance or upon invoice
• Network fees associated with Bitcoin payments are the client’s responsibility
• All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes or duties
Bitcoin Transactions
When payment is made in Bitcoin, the transaction is considered complete and non-reversible once it has received a reasonable number of confirmations on the Bitcoin network.
Clients are responsible for sending the correct amount to the correct address. Overpayments or underpayments cannot be reversed once confirmed.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Where possible, we aim to be flexible. However, because our Services involve allocated consulting time and expertise:
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled session may be refunded in full
• Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a charge
• Once Services have commenced, refunds are at our discretion
6. Confidentiality
MBC treats all client information, including wallet structures, security setups, and personal data, as strictly confidential.
We will not disclose such information to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or regulatory obligation.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials, guides, documentation, and other content created or supplied by MBC remain the intellectual property of Manx Bitcoin Consultancy Limited unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliability, MBC makes no warranties or representations regarding:
• The completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of information
• The security or compatibility of third-party tools or hardware wallets
• Any outcomes, financial or otherwise, arising from the use of our Services
You acknowledge that Bitcoin and related technologies involve inherent risks including market volatility, software bugs, and loss of private keys. You accept full responsibility for managing your digital assets and related security.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MBC and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages arising from or related to your use of our Services.
Our total liability to you, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount you paid for the Services giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MBC, its employees, and contractors against any claims, damages, or losses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our Services.
11. Professional Conduct
MBC reserves the right to terminate any session or engagement if a client behaves in a threatening, abusive, or unlawful manner, or if their actions compromise the safety or integrity of our staff or Services.
In such cases, no refund will be issued.
12. Force Majeure
MBC will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, network failures, regulatory changes, power outages, pandemics, or acts of government.
13. Data Protection and Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.
14. Third-Party Services
Our Services may reference or integrate third-party products (such as hardware wallets or software applications). MBC is not affiliated with these providers and is not responsible for their performance or terms. You should review each provider’s policies before use.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date of the most recent revision will appear at the top of this page.
Continued use of our Services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising under them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Isle of Man.
The courts of the Isle of Man shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes relating to these Terms or the Services provided.
